1. Introduction

IGAutomate ("we", "our", "us") provides a Chrome extension that automates Instagram actions. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data responsibly.

2. Data We Collect

• Session cookies (only from the instagram.com domain) – used to authenticate actions on your behalf.
• Timezone information – required for correctly scheduling posts and automations.
• Configuration details – such as post captions, comment text, scheduled times, speed mode settings, and other parameters you configure for cloud-based features.

3. Purpose of Collection

The above data is collected solely to enable optional cloud-based automation features (Auto Post & Schedule, Sentinel Cloud, Follower DM Cloud) that continue working when your computer is turned off. No other functionality depends on this data.

4. How We Process Data

• All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS) to our API endpoint https://api.igautomate.com/api.
• Upon receipt, data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
• The data is used exclusively to perform the actions you scheduled (e.g., posting, commenting, sending DMs) and is never accessed for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.

5. Storage and Retention

• Session cookies, timezone, and configuration details are retained for a maximum of 30 days after the last successful synchronization.
• You may revoke synchronization at any time via the extension’s “Sync Now” UI, which will delete all stored data immediately.
• When you uninstall the extension or clear your Chrome data, any remaining data on our servers is purged within 24 hours.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to any third parties. The only external communication is the encrypted transmission to our own server for the purpose of performing the automation tasks.

7. Your Rights

• Access & Download: You may request a copy of the data we store for you by contacting [email protected].
• Deletion: You can delete all stored data instantly via the “Sync Now” button or by contacting support.
• Correction: If any stored configuration details are incorrect, you can modify them in the extension settings; the updated values will overwrite the previous ones.
• Withdrawal of Consent: Disabling the optional cloud features in the extension stops any further data collection and triggers immediate deletion of existing stored data.

8. Legal Basis & Compliance

We process your data based on your explicit consent (the consent dialog shown before any synchronization). We comply with applicable privacy regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

9. Security Measures

• End-to-end TLS encryption for data in transit.
• AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
• Regular security audits and penetration testing.
• Strict access controls; only authorized personnel can access the production environment.
